I solemnly swear...A Harry Potter Studio Tour blog

Our 2nd half of day seven took us to the city of Leavesden and the Harry Potter Studio tour. This was one of those things we had to plan and book months ahead and I'm so glad that we did! Tickets are 41 pounds each, and you must select your date and entry hour ahead of time. We ended up taking an Uber, because we were concerned about the train schedule and crowds during rush hour, but the train would have been much quicker. So learn from my mistake. Don't Uber to Leavesden. Trains are quicker.

Once your entry hour has arrived, you are directed to a waiting area. There are a few props and movie screen to keep you entertained.

Then you are finally allowed in to the Great Hall.

Once you are inside, you can spend as much time as you want checking out the props on display.

We are big Harry Potter fans, so it was almost overwhelming to see everything.

As you wander the exhibit hall, there are a few interactive things. The kids were able to use "magic" to raise the brooms.
For an additional charge, the kids made short movies of them flying on brooms. It was pretty cool!

You definitely want to give yourself several hours to tour the studios. We took a break about halfway through and had dinner at the cafe.

We topped off dinner with delicious Butterbeer ice cream.

We spent about 4 hours there, and spent a ton of money in the gift shops! Totally work the trip out there. We did decide to take the train back in town, which took a little more than 30 minutes. What a great experience! it was one of the highlights of our trip!
