Day 3, part 4. The day that kept on going.

We rested in the hotel for a bit, but since we knew that tomorrow was going to rain, we wanted to cram in as much as possible tonight. The kids were tolerating the trip remarkably well. So we just kept going with the flow.

We were all pretty hungry and decided to head to Carnegie Deli. Carnegie Deli is a well known Delicatessen that opened in the 1930's, and has been featured in a Woody Allen movie. We had heard that it wasn't unusual to find huge crowds, so we decided to make it an early dinner to avoid the rush.
Headed to Carnegie Deli.
The prices at Carnegie were pretty steep, but the portions were huge. I ordered a salad and it came in a huge bowl that would probably an entire family. Alex had a sandwich that could have easily fed both of us. And the kids ordered chicken and a burger. The total came out to $87.While we were there, there was a man sitting behind us who was loudly arguing that he refused to pay to share a sandwich. Apparently they charge extra if you want to share a sandwich.

Enjoying our meal at Carnegie.

After dinner, we headed to FAO Schwartz. Along the way, we passed the Plaza Hotel. The Plaza has been around since 1907.

The Plaza is surrounded by landmarks nearby.

When we got to FAO Schwartz, we did not see the security guard dressed like a toy soldier.

Oh there he is.

Standing in front of Zoltar.

We salute you.

The kids enjoyed just roaming around the multi level toy story.

And of course, they had to try out the piano that was featured in Big.

After we left FAO Schwartz, we checked out the Apple store. It was so crowded. But Noah had fun messing with the MacPro camera.

It had been such a long day packed with touring NYC, so we decided to just head back to the hotel for the night. Next up, a day at the museum.
